Welcome to the World Baby Addison!

One of the best parts of our job is meeting and connecting with all sorts of new people. Sometimes when we really "click" with a couple, they become instant friends of ours. That's our story of Corey and Adam who got married a few years ago. Ever since we have become good friends. The other best part of our job is watching families grow - from wedding to first baby to next baby and so on - and we get to document it.

We couldn't be happier for Corey and Adam now that they have welcomed their first little baby to their family! Addison (12 days old) was amazingly alert during this session. She was born to be photographed!

Moxie, the fanciest little dog on earth.

Ambyr (our super awesome wedding client and new friend) brought her pooch Moxie to the studio for a pooch portrait! You may remember Moxie from his appearance in Ambyr + Jims' engagement session. He is the spunkiest little man I have ever met.

Awesome 2009 Date Alert!

I just realized that Valentines Day will be on a Saturday next year. So, if your into Valentines Day - or just into the idea of having a totally kick ass red + pink wedding - this is one sweet date. I can tell you right now that this is going to be one of those hot dates. Very few lucky people will actually be able to get married on 2.14.09, so if this sounds cool to you - PLAN NOW!

The Most Exciting Package....EVER!

Yesterday the doorbell rang and we assumed that, like always, it was UPS delivering us something from our lab. When I went out to get the box, I noticed it was not from our lab. Oh boy, when we opened that box up, we were SO excited! It was a giant box of delicious chocolate covered pretzels from Chrissy, Rob & Bailey the dog! They wanted to thank us for Baileys photo shoot last week. There is nothing in life we love more than delicious treats - and such a surprise!

Thanks so much you guys, your the best!

Bailey the Dogs Pooch Portrait!

Rob + Chrissy brought Bailey in on Sunday for his very first Pooch Portrait! He is one handsome gentleman. Bailey is semi-crazy but he is a lover. I love his crazy ears and expressions. Bailey had so much fun at the studio being famous for an afternoon.

Attention People Who Havn't Hired Us Yet, But Want To:

We book up fast. It's not bragging, it's just true. I get so many emails and phone calls from people who delayed in getting in touch with us and are now bummed that we aren't available for their date anymore. Some people even try bribing us! Our prime dates (May through November) book up about a year to a year and a half in advance. While we do sometimes have a few Saturdays in those months that take longer to book, most dates go fast and go early.

If you are getting married in 2009, NOW is the time to start looking for a photographer. The earlier you book things the more options you have. The folks that wait too long end up choosing only from the vendors that are available, not the vendors they want.

On February 18, our pricing and packaging will be changing and going up. So, 2009 folks, call us now and you'll not only have awesome photos but you'll save some cash!

All meetings scheduled with us before the 18th will be presented with our current pricing. So if you can't make it in to meet with us before the 18th, all you have to do is schedule your meeting. It's simple. Get what you want - not just whats available.

Bathroom Redo and Strange Basement Occurance

We have been redoing our main bathroom (tiny, yes I know) over the last week. It's odd how just painting a bathroom turns into so much more. It was boringville before. Grey and white does not do it for me. It needed color. We love color. So we painted, replaced the horrible old medicine cabinet, removed a shelf, redid the molding and hung a photo piece.

And, an interesting basement story. So, there were these horrible mirrors hanging up on one entire wall of our basement. They had to go so Nate took them down. Now, we knew that our basement had paneled walls, but much to our surprise, this is what we found:

Now, thats not wallpaper or painted. It's actually whats printed on the paneling! I had no idea this existed and I think it probably should have never have.
